Fresh Racing Journal

Editorial policy

Fresh Racing Journal aims to make horse racing easier to understand through accurate, clear and independent explanations. We distinguish established descriptions from interpretation, and state uncertainty where it matters.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual claims against suitable source material before publication and use precise wording for racing terms. Where terminology or practice can vary, we make that scope clear rather than implying one description applies everywhere. Articles explain racing; they do not offer betting recommendations or promise outcomes.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or editorial approval.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear wording, use the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted. Significant changes are noted clearly in the relevant article; we do not silently preserve an error once it is known.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Illustrations are not evidence of a particular race, horse, venue or event, and should not be read as documentary photographs.
